Primergy’s Small Scale Portfolio
Small-scale projects offer us the opportunity to work closely with local stakeholders, support energy equity, and create solutions tailored to specific community needs.
Our small-scale portfolio is comprised of 48 solar projects across the United States.
Primergy’s Illinois Portfolio
Primergy developed, constructed, and operates 35 projects across 25 counties in Illinois. The portfolio generates 13 MWac of electricity for schools, community resource centers, nursing homes, and college campuses.
Pitkin Solar
Primergy developed, constructed, and operates a 5 MWac solar project in Pitkin County, Colorado. Pitkin Solar has been delivering low-cost energy to Holy Cross Energy, an electric co-op serving almost 45,000 members in Western Colorado since November 2021.
Rio Grande Electric Cooperative Portfolio
Primergy co-developed five solar projects totaling 11 MWac. The projects are operating in the Rio Grande Valley region of Texas.
California Solar Portfolio
Primergy developed five solar projects totaling 18.6 MWac in Kern and Fresno Counties, California.
Our experience with these projects has shaped our approach to collaboration, trust-building, and thoughtful development. Keep reading to learn more about our Pitkin Solar project and Illinois Portfolio.
Portfolio Highlights

Pitkin Solar is a 5 MWac project operating in Pitkin County, Colorado. The project has been delivering clean, low-cost energy to the surrounding community since November 2021.
Pitkin Solar is carefully sited on 35 acres owned by the Aspen Sanitation District and serves energy to Holy Cross Energy, an electric co-op serving almost 45,000 members in Western Colorado.
Pitkin Solar is focused on providing safe delivery of clean energy to the Roaring Fork Valley. It has bridged partnerships with local advocates to preserve the landscape. Primergy implemented a low-impact construction method that eliminated the need for scraping during construction, and with this method, wildlife habitat is maintained.

The Illinois Solar Portfolio is a distributed generation solar portfolio operating in various counties throughout Illinois. Each project is carefully sited to serve local communities through Ameren and Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd). Primergy operates the portfolio, which generates electricity for schools, community resource centers, nursing homes, and college campuses.
The Illinois Solar Portfolio was constructed from 2019 to 2021. During peak construction periods, the projects generated approximately 100 jobs, supported through local contractors and regional trade groups, as well as opportunities for professional development, including local recruitment, engineering teaching programs, and on-the-job training.
Primergy’s Illinois Solar Portfolio remits approximately $40,000 in taxes annually. These payments benefit local schools and provide substantial resources that benefit the community.
